A Sport for a more Civizied Age
One person has a saber, and the other evades attack.
The Saber wielder uses consistent geometric attacks that can be predicted, and they go as low as necessary for the evader to get out of the way.
As the evader warms up, the speed can increase, pushing the partner to their limits.
It’s important to note that this is a partner exercise/game, not a competition.
You are the defense, your saber is just an extension of you.
As you become comfortable with the practice, you can add new rules to spice things up. We made the rule that the evader could win by tapping the attackers chest, which but the saber wielder on defense and tightens the game up.
You can also add a lightsaber to the defenders hand, but keeping the intention to never be touched. This is Ghosting after all. Start with a shorter saber or stick if you have one, it’s a lot easier, and then progress to a full length saber. This will train moving seamlessly with the saber in hand.
This may sound silly, but it’s loads of fun. Give it a shot and let me know what you think in the comments below!
What rules did you come up with? How did it affect gameplay?
